Federal Tax Withholding

Federal Tax Withholding

The Federal W-4 was modified in 2020, and some employees may see no federal tax withheld on paychecks. In many of these cases, the higher the amount you list under dependents, the lower your tax liability.

The IRS has a tool you can use to help with filling out the W-4.

If you would like to modify your federal withholding, you can do so directly in Paycom by completing another W-4 in your Tax setup. Please see attached instructions for more information.

If you have questions about what to enter on the W-4 or what the tax implications are, please consult a tax professional.
